Hardin School District 17H & 1 proudly serves FREE breakfast to EVERY student EVERY day! That’s nearly 30,000 meals a MONTH to jumpstart our students with math, reading and test scores. This program helps students pay better attention in class, perform problem-solving tasks and improves memory. Breakfast in the Classroom helps reduce tardiness and absences and helps students behave better.

It's your BEST CHOICE

Our cafeterias are loaded with delicious, nutritious foods that comply with the USDA Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act. All schools have outstanding salad bars in addition to daily menu selections. We strive for excellence in meals choices and offer Grab ‘n’ Go meals, Sandwich of the Day, Splendid Salads, and approved Ala Carte snacks to older students. We have transformed school food to promote better nutrition and reduce obesity in our School District—There is no doubt our food is your BEST CHOICE!!

It's not just FABULOUS - It's FREE

All meals, both breakfast and lunch, are FREE to ALL students! The efforts of School Nutrition Staff, School Administrators, School Board Members and Community Stakeholders and the USDA Community Eligibility Provision make our free meal program possible.
