The Hardin Middle School Library is open from 8:00-4:00 every school day.  You may come in at any time- before school, after school, or during lunch.  If you wish to come in during your lunch time, you must get a pass from Mrs. Guay before 8:30 in the morning.

Books can be checked out for three weeks with your student ID.  If you lose a book, it must be paid for before school dances, or ski trips, or the end of the school year. You can use our computers to find a book, do homework, or surf the web on academic subjects.

Please feel free to come into our library to check out our new books, look at magazines, or just sit and chat with friends.

Warrior Princess by Frewin Jones-by the author or The Faerie Path comes Branwen.  She must make a choice - the path her parents have chosen for her, or to become the Warrior Princess

Night Hoops by Carl Deuker - about a boy who wants to shine in his father’s eyes.  He can do that by playing basketball.

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson. If you’ve read Speak, or Fever or Prom by this author, you know you are in for a treat with her new book!

Below Zero by C.J.Box.  Another Joe Pickett novel - you won’t want to miss this one!

Chicken Boy by Frances Dowell - Tobin is starting 7th grade.  On his first day, his grandma gets arrested, Tobin gets a 5 day suspension, and everyone in the family is fighting.  Add to that a chicken that lays green eggs.  What a family!

Elissa’s Quest and Elissa’s Odyssey by Erica Verrillo - a new fantasy trilogy about Elissa, a healer who can talk to animals.  She finds she is a princess who is being traded for diplomatic reasons.  What is this prophecy for which she is the key - the Phoenix Rising?

The Sorceress by Michael Scott - book 3 in the Nicholas Flamel series.
