Welcome!

Mrs. Koehler

Kasey Koehler
Welcome!  I am excited that you are here.  The 2017-2018 school year has started off well, and we are working diligently on our content curriculum.

I am a 14-year educator who is credentialed in Special Education. In addition to working with a caseload of students who require special services, I have 4 classes working with intervention and special education students for English and Reading, 2 classes for Freshman Academy Reading, and my Advisory consists of Juniors (go Class of '19!)

To the right, there are links to each of my classrooms via their Google Class.  Each student has been "enrolled" in the classroom to access their assignments as well as the House Points. AS a parent, you can send me your email address, and I can add you to the appropriate classroom(s) to allow you to see your child's assignments, due dates, etc.

I am originally from Southern California and am enjoying my 4th year in Montana.  I am married to a retired U.S. Marine and we have 6 children - three of our children are grown and on their own, and we have three still at home: two are students are Hardin High School, and the youngest is at Hardin Middle. I love to hunt, shoot, archery, camp, read, cross stitch, and spend time with friends and family.
Koehler House Points
As an incentive, each of my students has used the Pottermore website to sort themselves into Houses just like in the Harry Potter Books. There is a list on my wall where the students can see their house colors, list of students within their house, and the current total for the quarter.

Points are awarded to students for exhibiting proper Bulldog behavior and meeting or exceeding my expectations. The Houses are sorted across all of my classes, so the students know they are responsible to others that they may or may not know.  Demerits are also given when students are not meeting my classroom expectations.

To see the Points and Demerits, you can click here

The winning House for each quarter will have a pizza party with all of the fixings, including my baking, on an agreed date.  A big thank you to our principal, Rob Hankins, for supporting this!
