NOTICE OF TRUSTEE VACANCIES

Hardin School Districts 17H & 1 Board of Trustees is seeking interested persons to fill the following FOUR (4) trustee positions:

1-year term in the Decker area for High School District 1 on the Hardin School District Board;

1-year term in Zone 1 on the Hardin School District Board;

1-year term in Zone 4 on the Hardin School District Board; and

3-year term on 17HK management board of the Decker-Kirby Cooperative.

Applicants must reside within the area for which they are applying and be able to meet the requirements of a registered voter. Persons interested in filling a vacancy must submit a Letter of Interest, include the trustee position applying for, and send to: Hardin School Districts 17H & 1 Board of Trustees, ATTN: Superintendent Eldon C. Johnson, 401 Park Rd., Hardin, MT 59034-2505.

Letters must be received NO LATER THAN 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

Meetings

The Board of Trustees meet at 5:30pm the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the School District Administration Office.

Exceptions:
Some of the meetings will be held at each school during the year. When they are held at Ft Smith and Crow Agency the meetings will start at 6:30pm.

Board meetings are held in public but are not public meetings. Members of the public shall be recognized and allowed input during the meeting, at the discretion of the Chairperson. (Excerpt-Board Policy 1441R)
