It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that I'm sending you this notification as a member of the Hardin Schools' family Tina Billman, Counselor at Hardin Intermediate School, has passed away. Tina was a positive and enthusiastic supporter for our students as well as a trusted colleague. My deepest sympathies go out to those of you who worked with her daily or were close to Tina outside of work as well.
The shock of this news will likely stir up a variety of emotions and trauma in many of us. Please know that support is available and that we value your mental health; support will be available for anyone who needs it. We have had Counselors from the different schools and One Health available at the Intermediate School for both students and staff this morning.
The district also offers support for everyone in our community through Care Solace and Parent Guidance which can be found on the district website.
We will find the best way to honor Tina's memory over these last few weeks of school and will share information regarding any memorial service or ways to support her loved ones going forward as that information becomes available.
Please hold on to your memories of Tina and make sure to tell your friends and family that you love them as we support one another through this difficult time with empathy and perseverance.
