
During the last field trip to the Bighorn National forest, presenters Timothy Kaldahl and Noel Two Leggins presented on the cultural, wellness and the significance of the Medicine Wheel. The workshop included initiative games, strategies on dealing with stress and coping skills. The students also participated in a rock, papers, scissors tournament. On the way home, the group enjoyed a picnic together. Thank you to our partners the Rocky Mountain Tribal Leaders council.











During the mental and emotional health week, Josh Stewart and Scott Flat Lip shared their inspirational stories and experiences with the high school summer school students. They focused on cultural & wellness, coping mechanisms, social emotional awareness, having a growth mindset and preserving through when life gets challenging.

Hardin Primary summer school staff invited Sunny Gardner to do a presentation on the Crow teepee. She discussed the historic ways of living from the past to the present. She also displayed her beautiful teepee lining and demonstrated how you would tie it to the teepee.





The Hardin Academy had an open house last week. Along with the open house, they had a Pow-wow and recognized their graduates. THA would like to thank everyone involved in the process. Mr. Sidwell would also like to extend an invite to anyone that would like to view the building.



The Crow Agency School Mini Powwow had a great turn out last month. The Crow School Dance Troupe and their music teacher, Verleen Holds did a great job organizing the event. Thank you to all the dancers, drum group and emcee as well as the community in supporting this event. A'ho










Last month, the education association (union) presidents and executive directors from ID, WA, OR, HI, AK, AZ, WY, and NV as well as staff and executive committee members from the National Education Association visited Crow Agency Public school. They came from afar to see our language immersion program. They also had the opportunity to see a show case by a few of our Crow Agency dancers. Danielle Arnoux of One Health and Stevie Robinson who works with Phoenix, specializes in Recovery Yoga both shared their expertise and experience with Mrs. Jenny Casino’s summer school class. Some of the topics covered mindfulness and meditation techniques for managing stress, breathing exercises and stretches. Last week, Hardin high school teacher, Mrs. Jenny Casino kicked off her Crow Science class by inviting wellness educator Kasey Nicholson to pump up her students for a great summer session. POOL PARTY!!! Friday June 7th from 5:30pm-8:00pm (building closes at 8:30). $2 swimming for all ages. Sassy sips will be on the patio along with our snack shack which will offer ice cream and snacks. We have yard games on the patio with sprinklers and swimming galore inside. Come join us for some Friday night pool fun!


The HCAC parking lot will be closed as well as the entrance ramp for parking today Wednesday June 5th through Monday June 10th . The building is still OPEN and we will be running normal summer swimming hours. Parking is available on the street or HS parking lot. You can walk up the entrance ramp just please do not park on the ramp.

Crow Agency School honored and celebrated Crow Language Teacher Reva Little Owl Not Afraid at the Crow School powwow. She was surrounded by loved ones as she danced during the honor song.
